Chris Sutton made his prediction before of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League clash with Luton Town on Saturday.
Steve Cooper’s side will be searching for their first win since defeating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on September 2nd.
Forest will have to beat Rob Edwards’ side without a handful of first-team players.
Cooper stated yesterday that Gonzalo Montiel, Felipe, Taiwo Awoniyi, Danilo, and Serge Aurier will all be out due to injury.
Moussa Niakhate, on the other hand, will be eligible after serving his one-match suspension against Crystal Palace.
Chris Sutton predicts who will win – Forest or Luton
The 50-year-old admits in his BBC Sport piece that Luton will put up a spirited fight, but Forest will have too much quality.
“I like what Luton Town have done this season.” I don’t want to patronize them, but they deserve some credit for making a living.”The Hatters will certainly feel they should have gotten something from 10-man Tottenham before the international break, and they also lost late to Burnley earlier in the week, but they are always competitive and pose a threat even when they come up empty-handed.
“I kind of feel like the same sort of thing will happen to them here, though.
“Again, it’s a game Luton will feel they can get something out of but Forest’s home form is very strong and they have got plenty of matchwinners in their squad.”
Sutton’s prediction: 2-1
A great chance for Cooper and Forest
Although no encounter in the Premier League is an easy one, Saturday afternoon poses a great opportunity for Cooper’s side to collect three more points.
Luton are predicted to suffer relegation by many this season, with the Hatters currently outside the relegation places on goal difference.
With Forest having a good home record under Cooper, you would expect the Reds to gain all three points.
