The latest Leicester City news comes as forthcoming Championship opponents Swansea City suffer an injury setback.
Swansea City has suffered an injury setback ahead of their match against Leicester City on Saturday (October 21).
The Swans are unbeaten in their previous five Championship games, with four victories and one draw. They have a number of injury problems, but it has now been revealed that a vital defender will miss the game.
Ben Cabango is the individual in question. According to the Swansea Independent, the centre-back will miss the game due to a hamstring issue. He’ll be out for the next four games, which could help Leicester if Swansea maintain their run up the standings.
Swansea manager Michael Duff will address the media before the game and shed additional light on the situation. He is anticipated to confirm his team’s injury status.
Winger Josh Ginnelly will miss the rest of the season due to an Achilles injury, while midfielder Joe Allen (groin) and defender Nathan Wood (ankle) will be sidelined for more than two months after undergoing surgery.
“It hasn’t been a great week for that [injuries],” Duff stated three weeks ago. Woody will require ankle surgery, which will take three months. Joe Allen had groin surgery and is in a similar time period.
“Josh Ginnelly will miss the rest of the season.” He had a total rupture of his Achilles, which we didn’t think was great given the language he was using at the time.”
