So far, the renewal of Rade Krunic has not been a simple negotiation for AC Milan, and some figures have come from the talks.
Several independent sources have reported in recent days that Milan have resumed contract negotiations with Krunic, following the interest exhibited by Fenerbahce and Lyon throughout the summer.
According to our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Krunic’s renewal Milan appears to be more difficult than anticipated. The Bosnian midfielder got an offer from Fenerbahce in the summer that would have been a significant pay increase, and this appears to be conditioning his requests.
The former Empoli player is now demanding amounts equal to those proposed by the Turkish club in the summer (€3.5m net per season), while the Rossoneri prefer to settle for approximately €2.5m per year.
There is a gap to be filled, and Krunic’s contract expiration in 2025 could foreshadow his sale next summer.
Milan will be better covered in that role once Ismael Bennacer returns, and they have pursued Boca Juniors regista Ezequiel Fernandez in addition to the adaptable Yacine Adli.
