Wolves offer trial to fantastic 18-year-old, they are set to sign him

Wolves have put South African teen Relebohile Mofokeng on trial.

Winger Mofokeng, 18, has had an impressive year after joining the Orlando Pirates development system and rapidly rising to the first team.

He has also played five times for South Africa’s under-20 team, scoring twice.

Mofokeng scored and assisted in only his second professional outing for Pirates and appeared in 11 games for Jose Riveiro’s side, six of which he started, and the teenager has piqued the interest of clubs around Europe.

According to reports, there have also been adoring glances from Spain following a successful tour of the country.

He has traveled to England for a trial and will train with Wolves under-21s to impress club coaches. On Monday, James Collins’ under-21s defeated Dutch club PSV 2-1 at Molineux in the Premier League International Cup.

Lyle Foster, a Burnley striker and South African international, is another product of the Orlando Pirates youth system.

Riveiro stated Mofokeng is poised to join Wolves and believes his youth will not prevent him from having a successful trial spell.

“He’s in the UK, he’s on trial with Wolves,” said the head coach.
