Two clubs now showing strong interest in signing key AC Milan star

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain introduced a new strategy for recruiting French talent, particularly those from the local area. The team made significant signings, such as Lucas Hernandez, Ousmane Dembélé, and Randal Kolo Muani.

However, PSG’s pursuit of French talent continues, with reports from La Gazzetta Dello Sport suggesting that they are showing interest in AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez. This potential move raises questions about Nuno Mendes, as the Portuguese international recently underwent surgery due to a groin injury, sidelining him for four months.

Mendes will have to prove his fitness upon his return, and if he’s not ready, PSG will need to explore other options for the left-back position. Currently, Lucas can fill the role, but he can also switch to the left center-back position while his brother takes up the left-back role.

Given that Marquinhos and Milan Skriniar are right-footed center-backs, Lucas would bring a different dimension to the team. Nevertheless, PSG might face competition in their pursuit of Theo Hernandez.

According to the same Italian media outlet, Manchester United is also interested in signing the Frenchman. The Red Devils have faced left-back issues this season due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Aware of the growing interest in the 26-year-old, AC Milan is looking to extend Theo’s contract beyond its current expiration date in 2026. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United or PSG will be successful in securing the transfer of this Milan star.
