Club claim they haven’t yet received money from Nottingham Forest transfer

Nottingham Forest signed Murillo from Corinthians at the end of the summer transfer window.

The Tricky Trees paid €12 million for the defender, who started their previous two Premier League games.

Now, as journalist Jorge Nicola reports on Corinthians’ transfer business, it appears the club is alleging Nottingham Forest have not yet paid for Murillo.

This tale begins with Argentinos Juniors. Their fullback Santiago Montiel has been linked with a move to the Brazilian club, and their president has stated publicly that they would not bargain.

This is due to the fact that Corinthians have not made instalments for the transfer of Fausto Vera, who was signed from the Argentine side, and are anticipated to face a transfer ban as a result.

To clarify the problem, the Brazilian club reportedly stated that they are awaiting payment from Nottingham Forest for Murillo.

Corinthians, according to Nicola, claim they did not see the money for that transaction, as well as for Lucas Piton’s move to Vasco da Gama.

The journalist does not appear to believe that story entirely, noting that “it’s strange to see an English club delaying payments.”

That could be a bluff from Corinthians, who are unlikely to get their arguments heard by Nottingham Forest.
