Cesare Casadei makes a promise to Leicester City fans ahead of the comeback match against Swansea.
Cesare Casadei, Leicester City midfielder, has stated that “this is just the start” of his career with the club.
The 20-year-old joined City on loan from Chelsea during the summer transfer window and has played nine Championship games thus far. Seven of those came from the bench, but his debut was the most memorable.
Casadei scored a last-gasp victory against Cardiff City before wheeling away to celebrate with Kop fans. The Italian remembered how he felt that day and why he wanted to reward his fans with his celebration.
“I was really excited because it was my debut, and I couldn’t ask for anything more from that,” Casadei told LCFC.com. “It doesn’t happen every day that I score on my debut in the last five minutes and win the game, so I’m really happy for that.”
“I didn’t think anything when I scored; I just wanted to express my passion.” I ran in front of the fans to join them in celebrating because they were incredible. The stands were packed, and I wanted to savor every second of it.”
Casadei has also warned City fans that there is much more to come from him, with Leicester leading the table after 10 wins in 11 games. “This is just the start,” he continued.
“I want to do more for this club. I always try to look forward for the next games, stay focused, and I just want to keep going now.”
