Newcastle punishment for Sandro Tonali revealed if proven guilty in betting scandal

Sandro Tonali, Newcastle United midfielder, is currently embroiled in an illicit betting incident.

According to Corriere. It, the police arrived earlier this week during Italy’s training camp to examine the involvement of Italian players in sports betting. Tonali’s phone and tablet were confiscated while the players’ phones and tablets were seized.

According to reports, the Newcastle player is already planning his defense if he is charged. According to the report, if he is proven guilty, he could face a three-year ban, and Newcastle might punish him further.

Apparently, the Premier League club could ask the player to terminate his contract with them or refuse to pay his salary until the expiry of the ban.

Newcastle United spent a lot of money on Tonali during the summer transfer window, and he has shown to be a good buy. The 23-year-old has managed to pull away with the Premier League title, and his performances have been rather outstanding. He’ll be aiming to build on his strong start to life in the Premier League, and he’ll be determined to get through this predicament unhurt.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney was recently suspended for violating gambling regulations and will return to action in mid-January. Tonali will not want to miss games or suffer major consequences as a result of being involved in a scandal.
