Panutche Camara, a midfielder on loan from Ipswich Town to Charlton Athletic, is expected to rejoin Charlton’s first-team squad next week, provided there are no setbacks in his injury rehabilitation. He has been sidelined due to a foot injury and has not played for Charlton since August 15.
Camara was considered an important addition to Charlton’s squad in League One, but he has had limited playing time, accumulating only 244 minutes in all competitions since joining from Ipswich Town.
Charlton’s head coach, Michael Appleton, expressed optimism about Camara’s return, saying that if there are no major issues with his rehabilitation this week, he should be able to rejoin the team next week. Appleton is familiar with Camara’s abilities, having encountered him as an opposition manager, and he believes Camara will be a significant asset to Charlton once he is fully fit and ready to play.
Camara’s 2022-23 campaign was largely disrupted by injury, as he played in just four games for Ipswich Town after transferring from Plymouth Argyle in September 2022.
