Following the revelation of Juventus midfielder Nicol Fagioli’s betting behavior, the same source now claims that former AC Milan player Sandro Tonali is also engaged in the scandal.
The news concerning Fagioli first surfaced in the mainstream media yesterday, and according to Corriere della Sera this morning, the Juventus player has admitted to betting on football games but not his own. If found guilty by the FIGC Prosecutor, he might face a three-year ban.
Former Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali and former Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Fabrizio Corona, the guy who broke the news about Fagioli in recent months, are also engaged in the betting scandal (via Calcio e Finanza).
Milan traded Tonali to Newcastle in the summer for roughly €70 million and will no longer have to deal with the situation. It is unclear if the investigation will find him guilty or not, as the claims are still being investigated.
