AC Milan President Scaroni mentions Heart Risk Problem following Win v Genoa

Milan president Paolo Scaroni has revealed that the victory over Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris placed his coronary arteries in jeopardy. Christian Pulisic scored late on, but the thrills came only minutes later when Mike Maignan was sent off for a high knee challenge in stoppage time before Olivier Giroud stood up to the responsibility of manning the sticks.

Scaroni talked to Sky Italia (via Tuttomercatoweb) and praised the French striker for taking on the responsibility of guarding Milan’s goal and even pulling off a fantastic last-minute save.

“A fantastic thing I must say, he really saved Milan. In my opinion, it was a demonstration of the team spirit, which I really liked. Nothing is impossible when you create that spirit.”

Milan have gradually found their feet in recent games, although Scaroni stressed on the win against Genoa being ‘deadly.’

“The match like the one last Saturday against Genoa put my coronary arteries at risk. Instead, we played well in other instances lately.”

The Rossoneri lead Serie A with 21 points, two more than Inter and four more than Juventus and Fiorentina. They return to action on 22 October, when Juventus visit San Siro in what promises to be an exciting match.
