‘I want to stay here’: 26-year-old suggests he’s never even thought about joining Newcastle

Newcastle United has been associated with some of the greatest players in the Premier League and beyond.

Despite the fact that the transfer window closed at the beginning of the month, interest is already moving to the January transfer window.

Indeed, Pedro Neto, Emile Smith Rowe, and Ivan Toney have all been mentioned as potential Newcastle targets – and that’s just from the Premier League.
Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Javi Guerra of Valencia have also been linked.

Certainly, there have been a slew of new names to appear on the radar. One of them, surprisingly, is West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.

The 26-year-old, dubbed “unbelievable” by Jurgen Klopp, was mentioned as a potential target for future transfer windows last month.

Bowen, on the other hand, has now signed a new contract with the Hammers and ruled out any further moves.

Jarrod Bowen has stated that he will never leave West Ham.

Indeed, after signing a contract extension that will keep him in east London until 2030, Bowen stated that he will never leave the club.

“The club gave me the opportunity when no one else wanted to,” he stated in a statement put on X by West Ham.

“It’s only right that I repay that trust.” I want to stay here and do so for the rest of my career.”

Bowen could have been a Newcastle player already.

The player has previously stated that he believed a move to Newcastle was on the cards for 2020.

He was even shopping for residences in the area, with Steve Bruce eager to relocate after first showing interest the previous summer.

Nonetheless, Newcastle chose not to pursue the then-Hull attacker, allowing West Ham to step in and conclude a deal.

Given his recent form, it’s a great tragedy for the club. A potential transaction appears to be off the table for the time being.
