Cesare Casadei now says what everyone is thinking about Leicester City

In the latest Leicester City update, Enzo Maresca opted to make six alterations to the starting lineup for their recent Championship victory over Stoke City, while still securing their leading position in the league. Cesare Casadei, a midfielder for Leicester City, expressed confidence in the team’s depth and believes it will be an asset throughout the season as they strive to maintain their strong start.

Leicester City achieved their 10th win in the first 11 league matches of the season, expanding their points advantage over the third-placed team in the Championship. Their 2-0 triumph against Stoke City allowed Enzo Maresca’s squad to remain at the pinnacle of the league table, with a two-point lead over Ipswich.

The match against Stoke witnessed Maresca implementing six changes to the starting lineup, a decision influenced by a busy fixture schedule. Casadei, who made only his second Championship start, played for 77 minutes in the game. Jamie Vardy began the match on the bench but had an immediate impact when he entered the field during the second half, contributing a goal within seconds.

Wilfred Ndidi played a pivotal role by providing an assist for the goal and nearly scoring one himself. The Nigerian international also entered the game as a substitute in the second half, taking Casadei’s place.

The squad’s overall quality is frequently highlighted both externally and by the players themselves. They recognize that this depth can be advantageous during a lengthy season.

Casadei conveyed his satisfaction with the ability to bring on players like Vardy and Ndidi, stating, “It’s not bad at all! They are really good players. We have a lot of good players. We have quality in the team, and we have a really good team. We know that everyone involved can perform exceptionally well and contribute to the team’s success. We are currently performing excellently.”

With the international break now in progress, Maresca will have more opportunities to work closely with players not involved in international duties. However, Casadei will not be among them, as he will join Italy U21s for their European qualifier against Norway U21s, given his status as a Chelsea loanee.
