According to the bookies, two former Saints players, Danny Rohl and Nathan Jones, are the favorites to become the new Sheffield Wednesday manager.
Hasenhuttl’s former assistant and last season’s failed management candidate are equal favorites to succeed Xisco Munoz, who was fired.
Wednesday have only garnered up two points from their first ten Championship games, despite owner instability off the field.
Rohl left St Mary’s in 2019 after originally working as Hasenhuttl’s assistant to join the German national team.
Following Hansi Flick’s dismissal, Rohl is now out of employment and is allegedly on the Owls’ shortlist for a new boss.
Welshman Jones, the 2021-22 Championship manager of the year at Luton Town, spent only eight league games at Saints before being replaced by Sport Republic.
Both are presently rated at 4/1 to become the new Sheffield Wednesday manager on Sky Bet and are considered joint favorites for the position.
Dean Smith, the former Aston Villa and Norwich City manager, is the next favorite at 6/1. Smith was the manager of Leicester City when they were relegated in April and May of this year.
Neil Warnock, the legendary EFL manager, is placed at 10/1 after leaving Huddersfield Town lately and keeping open to other opportunities.
There are additional odds on Slaven Bilic (12/1), Giuseppe Iachni (14/1), Benito Carbone (16/1), Carlos Carvahal (16/1), Jess Thorup (16/1) and Neil Thompson (16/1).
