Newcastle United stars missing from training ahead of PSG Champions League clash

Fingers crossed Leboeuf’s PSG concerns come true and Newcastle pick up all three points.

According to Sky Sports’ Keith Downie, several key players were missing from Newcastle United’s training session this morning ahead of their Champions League match against PSG.

Sven Botman and Joelinton were known casualties and are not expected to play against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. Callum Wilson’s status was also in doubt.

The name of Sandro Tonali, on the other hand, may be cause for concern.

The 23-year-old Italy international was absent from this morning’s training session, implying that he may not be fit to play tomorrow night.

Keith Downie wrote on X: “No Botman, Tonali, Joelinton, or Wilson at Newcastle training this morning — ahead of PSG visit.”

Unsurprisingly, everyone’s attention was drawn to Tonali, who had no idea he had any concerns that would keep him out of the crucial game tomorrow night.

The match against Paris Saint-Germain would be the biggest test of Newcastle’s season so far, and Eddie Howe was already preparing for it without Joelinton and Sven Botman. Two players who would have undoubtedly given Newcastle the best chance of winning.

Elliot Anderson could make another appearance for Newcastle tomorrow.

With the loss of Sandro Tonali and the possibility of losing Callum Wilson on the bench, the task has become much more difficult.
If Tonali is unable to play, he will most likely be replaced by Elliot Anderson, who had a fantastic game against Burnley and should be fully fit.

Tonali and Wilson, hopefully, were only resting to be fully prepared for the game.
