Fingers crossed Leboeuf’s PSG concerns come true and Newcastle pick up all three points.
Youssouf Fofana of Monaco addresses summer transfer interest from Nottingham Forest and Fulham.
Youssouf Fofana, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, has explained why he is not interested in a summer move to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old was connected with the Reds during the transfer window as they tried to bolster their options in the center of the pitch. Fulham were also rumoured to be interested in the £30 million-rated AS Monaco player.
Despite rumours that Forest was preparing an offer, Fofana remained with the Ligue 1 club. And now he says he pondered his future with worldwide objectives in mind.

“I want to go somewhere where I can continue to play for the French national team,” he said to Canal+ in an interview that was transcribed by La Diagonale and transmitted by Sport Witness. “And, of course, if we take Nottingham Forest, Fulham, and AS Monaco, I’ll stay at ASM.”
“Of course, we want to be at the top; that has always been my professional goal.” It will never worry me to go through stages. At 30 years old, I have no trouble walking into a spacious locker room. It’s just that when my body can’t keep up, I want a profession that’s uphill and downhill, not zigzag.”

Fofana earlier stated that he was torn between sticking with Monaco and leaving. Last month, he told Get French
Football News, “I was torn between staying and leaving.” I’ve always stated that I have no objection to staying, especially at a club like Monaco, which is constantly competing at the top.
“I have personal goals and expectations.” Perhaps leaving wasn’t the greatest thing for me. I am happy to have stayed and to hold this position in this squad.”
Forest prioritized midfield strengthening throughout the offseason. And they appear to have done a good job of recruiting. In his first two games for the club, Nicolas Dominguez made an immediate impression, while record acquisition Ibrahim Sangare is settling in. Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos, on the other hand, is still waiting for his first league appearance.
